Lindsey is a Canadian Grand Prix dressage rider, trainer and Equestrian Canada certified coach, 2005, based in Edmonton, Alberta
Lindsey commits to her continued development; she trains and competes in California most winters at Arroyo Del Mar, home of Shannon and Steffen Peters. She puts a priority on her own education to ensure she maintains a high standard in both her riding and coaching.
Lindsey has been named to the Equestrian Canada High Performance list repeatedly, trained several horses to the FEI level and represented Canada at CDIs in Canada and the US from Young Riders to Grand Prix. In addition, she has obtained a BSC in Kinesiology and certification as a STOTT Pilates instructor giving her a strong understanding of rider biomechanics.
“But there is one principle that should never be abandoned, namely, that the rider must learn to control himself before he can control his horse. This is the basic, most important principle to be preserved in equitation.” – Alois Podhasjsky
By combining her education, experience, dedication and commitment to what is best for the horse, Lindsey strives to provide each horse and rider a solid understanding of the basics allowing them to correctly move through the levels. She has a strong focus on developing her clients’ horses to improve its rideability for the owner so they can reach their full potential as a team.
“Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of, love of what you are doing or learning to do” – Pele

“I have known and coached Lindsey for 10 years. She exemplifies the very best in a trainer and coach. She has equal talent in her ability to train a horse up to International GP level , as well as coaching her students to be the very best they can be with their equine partners .
A rare combination!”

Lindsey is a true professional. Not only is she a fantastic rider and trainer, she is also a gifted coach. Lindsey has the ability to help her students become better riders while being positive and encouraging. I have personally experienced so much success and growth in her program as a rider. Lindsey works hard for her clients and is passionate about furthering the sport of dressage and the practice of correct horsemanship in Alberta.

I have been training with Lindsey for a year now, she has a brilliant eye for seeing key weaknesses in both horse and rider and is able to give clear directives to correct problems so every lesson achieves specific goals.
We work on in a clear concise system which is understandable to both horse and rider. I appreciate her work ethic, her support and encouragement in helping me to fill in the missing links of my training. Lindsey has definitely offered me and the horses I ride a refreshing approach and has inspired me to strive to be more subtle with my aids and to ride with a more refined technique.
Having earned a Bachelor in Kinesiology, Lindsey has a deep understanding of biomechanics of the rider and she has encouraged me to seek additional physical practitioners to correct and maintain a more effective body alignment.
What I appreciate most of all about Lindsey is her positive, professional approach she gives to all of her students and peers. Lindsey epitomizes how a professional trainer should conduct themselves both in and out of the dressage arena. Lindsey is continually open to learning - she trains with Shannon Peters and has successfully competed at the Grand Prix Level.
I love dressage and I love working with a trainer who encourages and challenges me… and makes me eager for the next ride.

When we arrived 3 years ago my horse was very crooked, unresponsive to aids and impossible for an amateur to ride. Now I can’t believe this is actually my horse. She responds to the lightest of aids and is able to use her body correctly now that she is straight. Lindsey’s prior education in pilates and kinesiology allows for in depth understanding of how riders influence the horses body. When I breed, my foal will definitely be trained by Lindsey no matter where I will be living in Canada. I currently drive 4hrs but I wouldn’t have it any other way as I get so much from each lesson. I just cannot say enough great things about her! I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet Lindsey and have her as a coach and trainer. It was nothing short of life changing for both my horse and I. She made us a team. Her kind nature, natural teaching ability, profound knowledge, skill and patience are what set her apart from others.

Lindsey Stroh is an extremely knowledgeable and patient coach. I didn’t fully understand how to effectively use my seat while riding my horse until I started riding with Lindsey. She has this way of explaining things that’s very clear. She has very effective tools for working with all types of horses and levels of riders. I have seen huge changes in hot horses, lazy horses, beginner riders, advanced riders, young riders and old riders through riding with her. I have had the honour of hosting her for clinics, she’s very professional, humble and easy to work with. Lindsey truly has the best interest of you the rider and your horse at heart. I’m very excited to continue riding with her and working with her in the future.
If you ever get the chance to ride with her - DO IT
